Reach For the Sky and Do it NOW

Why You Have Come Here

If you have arrived here seeking sanctity or blessing, then you will have to provide your own cloak and dagger. I only confess to the daily struggle to treat the world with the respect it has earned in my estimation. We all look to the sky and wonder. I feel the whisper of the ages calling and know not what flutter or ripple calls true. My approach is to touch your life in only the manner in which you prefer. As we all must suffer at some time, then I feel we all deserve, also, the right to laugh. My smile is my weapon, and at times my words also I use to defend.

Friday Walkabout

Wildflowers and particulars from my walkabout on Friday morning.

Tree that was hit by lightning last spring in a most spectacular fashion. It rattled the windows and sulphur rent the air.

Hands off-wet paint, well maybe not, but the spines of this bush have kept all notion of eating it down to the roots absent from the minds of the local fauna.

Great Bloom but I suspect this is a pest of the highest order.

A really spectacular thorny-super thorny plant that was growing in the pile of dirt parked by the second gate down the hill. The upclose of the bloom and stout stickers are above.

Lots of beauty for a bloom of a sticker bush. I'm sure that it has some scientific name but when you grab one in the flower bed with your unsuspecting delicate hand, all of the names for it become 4-lettered.

Actual blackberry, took picture before I ate it.

Huge blackberry bush collection that Eddy did not spray and left for me to enjoy. I think by the fourth of July, we'll have helmets full of succulent berries.

Lovely shots Jeanie, that poor tree looks so sad and the blackberry looks delicious.
