Reach For the Sky and Do it NOW

Why You Have Come Here

If you have arrived here seeking sanctity or blessing, then you will have to provide your own cloak and dagger. I only confess to the daily struggle to treat the world with the respect it has earned in my estimation. We all look to the sky and wonder. I feel the whisper of the ages calling and know not what flutter or ripple calls true. My approach is to touch your life in only the manner in which you prefer. As we all must suffer at some time, then I feel we all deserve, also, the right to laugh. My smile is my weapon, and at times my words also I use to defend.

Rain Before Seven, Shine Before Eleven

My best advice is to go to the end of this post and work your way up the page. This shot is taken using the sport utility on the camera-This lightning hit right between the Salem Knob and Wallace Knob.
Lightning strikes somewhere near Salem, time is now 5:40 am

I have these pictures out of order and the explanation follows at the end of this post. This shot is from front porch facing due east--lights from the Salem Knob are visible as the storm passes over us and approaches Salem.

A shot to the east from back deck. Directly over the tree, which is northeast of the house. If you struck out through the forest diagonally from our house you would find yourself in Sturkie.

Otherworldly capture off the back deck at 5:30 am. A minor thunderstorm had crashed through and I thought, belatedly, that I would try for some more lightning shots. I stay under the covers during the height of every storm unless the wind draws me out. After the tree crashed on my me and the car a few year back, I get creepy crawlies with the wind when escorted by weather alerts.

Of interest to me is that this setting on camera allowed me to catch the raindrops against the dark sky.

Next time try the fireworks setting on the scene menu. It might give you more streaks of lightning instead of just glow. Although the glow is awesome. Looks like the sky in on fire!

T,
okay, fireworks,--I didn't think of that. That's why I keep you around, for your Tara-genius. So another storm today, here I go. Although maintaining my respect for this blaze of energy!
