Reach For the Sky and Do it NOW

Why You Have Come Here

If you have arrived here seeking sanctity or blessing, then you will have to provide your own cloak and dagger. I only confess to the daily struggle to treat the world with the respect it has earned in my estimation. We all look to the sky and wonder. I feel the whisper of the ages calling and know not what flutter or ripple calls true. My approach is to touch your life in only the manner in which you prefer. As we all must suffer at some time, then I feel we all deserve, also, the right to laugh. My smile is my weapon, and at times my words also I use to defend.

Wide Angles and Filters

The following pics are of the homeplace. Nothing special in the way of material. However, I am beginning to practice with the lenses that I purchased from a blog friend that had just purchased them for her Nikon 5400 then her family gifted her with a new camera for the holidays. These shots were all taken with my new wide-angle lens and various filters designed to enhance color and light.

You can see the edges of the lens in the corners of the pictures so I think that I must need to set the camera differently to account for this problem. I'll research this tomorrow on the net. Today was a phenomenal opportunity to capture good color even without the filters. The sun was setting and a front of clouds had moved off to the east giving me great contrast between the reds, golds, blues, and browns.

I agree it was a gorgeous afternoon. I snapped a couple of the sunset myself.
