Reach For the Sky and Do it NOW

Why You Have Come Here

If you have arrived here seeking sanctity or blessing, then you will have to provide your own cloak and dagger. I only confess to the daily struggle to treat the world with the respect it has earned in my estimation. We all look to the sky and wonder. I feel the whisper of the ages calling and know not what flutter or ripple calls true. My approach is to touch your life in only the manner in which you prefer. As we all must suffer at some time, then I feel we all deserve, also, the right to laugh. My smile is my weapon, and at times my words also I use to defend.

Photo Challenge-Someone Special Shot or Special Person Shots

Photo Challenge Make-up photos....
I missed yesterday, I think, when the category was special person or people in my space. I have posted a set of photos from last weekend, my gorgeous daughter-in-law, Codi.
I shake my head in wonder that she is in our lives. Explaining the intricacies of watching my children develop relationships is beyond the scope of ordinary words. When your grown children bring loved ones to the table of your life, the semantics of whose side do you champion gets very complicated. I see Sach's perspective, of course, because I raised him and he sometimes eerily mirrors my thinking. But now, there is a girl to side with. I've been on my own with only men around me for 28 years. Another female to share the grief of "men" with is such a stated luxury. Codi and I have so many similar ideas about things that I would be happy if she had just come into my life as a friend. The fact that she is now family sweetens the whole shebang. So today's challenge is in honor of my daughter by law and heart, Codi Christine Allen Oliver.

Postscript--for anyone who knows me--how could I resist a girl who buys bubbles at Dollar General just because they are so much fun.

I know how you feel about having such great DIL's! I have a pretty darn good one too! ;)

Thanks for your sweet comments and you should totally start scrapping, you really don't need anything fancy to put together a cool journal or something. I use a lot of vintage "crap", rescued trash or junk mail. I hope you will post pictures when you decide to get crafty!

Have a good week.
