Reach For the Sky and Do it NOW

Why You Have Come Here

If you have arrived here seeking sanctity or blessing, then you will have to provide your own cloak and dagger. I only confess to the daily struggle to treat the world with the respect it has earned in my estimation. We all look to the sky and wonder. I feel the whisper of the ages calling and know not what flutter or ripple calls true. My approach is to touch your life in only the manner in which you prefer. As we all must suffer at some time, then I feel we all deserve, also, the right to laugh. My smile is my weapon, and at times my words also I use to defend.

Secret Grotto

I was determined to get pictures of our secret grotto. I flooded the mule. Well, then, a slow foot trip to the bottom of the hill and by definition of hill, back up again.
I'll stop fearing getting away from the house and getting swoony, but let's be practical. Rebel and I will need a small backpack, food supplies for 3 days, camera, cell phone, snakebite kit, bear taser. Check, check, check.
The grotto has been formed by the flooding and the spillway from the adjoining property's lake. I had to perch on a 12 inch wide shelf of clay sandstone stuff and fight Rebel's "keep you safe" tongue lashings to get the pics. If I could have squirmed down onto my belly to get the camera really steady, I would have captured a more clear shot of a secret hidden in a pasture. However, I hope you enjoy.

Oh My!

You are determined to photograph that dadgurned bear. You drowned a doggone jackass?

Well I certainly hope no other jackass messes with you. But I guess you'll need carry no more hay.

However I might suggest (mind I'm simply suggesting here-since I know now you're capable of drownding jackasses) asking your husband if he might buy you one of those small four-wheeler thingys I see old guys and golfers ride in?

Well Hilda,
you know that's what my mule is--only much bigger than our first one several years ago. It just seems to sense when I get in and touch it.
