Reach For the Sky and Do it NOW

Why You Have Come Here

If you have arrived here seeking sanctity or blessing, then you will have to provide your own cloak and dagger. I only confess to the daily struggle to treat the world with the respect it has earned in my estimation. We all look to the sky and wonder. I feel the whisper of the ages calling and know not what flutter or ripple calls true. My approach is to touch your life in only the manner in which you prefer. As we all must suffer at some time, then I feel we all deserve, also, the right to laugh. My smile is my weapon, and at times my words also I use to defend.

Good Girl Gone-Goodby!

www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQ5VaBgXzuM

Some day, I want to shake loose from this "teacher/good girl/oldest daughter who dreads disappointing the parents/lives in a small town/ persona. Maybe I'll take a stripper class, or speak my piece in the town square. Maybe I'll write the editor of the paper and state my views on the politics of our itty bitty town government. Maybe I'll run ahead of some old lady, and get the last cart at the grocery store. Maybe I'll go to Wal-Mart and not be wearing any support garments under my voluminous caftan. Maybe I'll sing the wrong lines and mess up everyone else at a big sporting event after I have grabbed the microphone. Maybe, I'll send back my order and tell the waiter that I ordered scrambled frog legs, not scrambled eggs. Maybe I'll run along all the windows in town with a marker, writing "I love Obama". Maybe, I'll spend ALL the money in our account on a huge purple chair that I don't have permission to buy. Maybe I'll dance on the bar at the local joint with a t-shirt on that says "I was your 3rd grade teacher". Maybe I'll just dream some bad girl dreams and smile a secret evil smile!
Click or not on the above link if you're feeling you need some push to change your good-girl self.

Sorry! You're not old enough. Only really old ladies can get away with that sort of thing.

Well, Mr. Duff, what qualifies as "really old"?!! because nobody knows how long the next moment is, and my bucket list is getting so heavy that I can't lift it off the floor! I figured I had better do something bold while I still can move. At least, Eartha Kitt was incomparable singing this song.
